Message from the Principal

Firstly, I am very excited to announce we have received a grant from Mt Alexander Shire to create wicking beds in our veggie garden. This will be a project to highlight the importance of water management in the garden but also ensures we will be able to have a summer crop! Well done to all parents and community members involved in applying for the grant.

June will be a big month of Newstead Primary School. Over the next few weeks we will part of a review of our school looking at the past four years and then moving forward to create our new plan for the future. I have been working on this review process for all of term 1 and 2 in readiness for this month. I am asking for input from every parent, community member and community organisation to assist us to develop that plan!

Students and teachers will be involved in discussions with the School Review Panel over a number of days.

The school reviewer, Julie Myers will also be sitting down and talking to parents and community members on Monday 17th June. There are three parent forums and one community forum. I am hoping for as many people as possible to attend.
